As a Vice President at Prophet Equity, Mr. Velie responsible for sourcing, structuring, closing and managing acquisitions with significant value creation potential to successful realization. He focuses on critical market and industry level research, financial analysis, and other analysis to support the evaluation of new portfolio companies and implementation of high value operational initiatives and supports the Office of Change Management for Hills Machinery, Interstate Waste Services, Derby Fabricating and Hatch Stamping.
Prior to joining Prophet Equity, Mr. Velie was an Investment Banking Analyst with J.P. Morgan Chase in New York, focusing on financing and merger and acquisition transactions for the firm’s mid-cap and family office clients. Prior to this, he was in J.P. Morgan Chase’s Dallas office focusing on capital advisory and private banking.
Mr. Velie graduated from the Southern Methodist University, Cox School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
